Which, of course, raises the question, “Why would people be upset about a blind man receiving his sight?” Questions abound in this powerful narrative about who can see and who is blind and who needs healing and exactly how Jesus was involved in the whole thing.

The religious miss it. But there is one thing that becomes abundantly clear in the milieu of all of this. A man was blind and now he sees. And this results in the blindness of many. It causes us to wonder who really knows Jesus? And how is it that so many of us miss him?
